WOW Writer Spotlight: Connor

Connor also wrote a fabulous start to a story about his character, Argus.  I wanted to share this exerpt of his character sketch with you because I feel as though, after finishing the piece, this could be an amazing story.  Here is "Like Clockwork."

Like Clockwork
by Connor Hills
Argus Stahom locked the front door of his watch maker’s shop and gave a contended sigh as he head its metallic click.  He turned around and walked back to his work bench, his feet giving a light thud with each step.  Argus worked on a few unfinished repairs and though about his day.  “Ahh!” he remembered he needed to replace his left knee gear with the replacements he had received earlier that day.  Now that in and of itself may sound odd, but not only is his knee mechanical, in face his body was sixty percent gears and cogs.  Most people would call him an android, but he’s much more than that…much more.
He stood up promptly after that thought, turned towards the bookcase and pushed a hidden button.  The bookcase sunk onto the floor opening up to a vast chamber.  Even now I still have yet to discover what lies beyond that opening, but I intend to find out.  My name is unimportant, because this is Argus’s story.

What was your inpiration for this piece?

I have spent years thinking up characters in my head.

What authors inspire you in your writing?

Steven King, Charles Dickinson, and Suzanne Collins are all inspirational.

What was the last book you read?

The last book I read was Mockinjay by Suzanne Collins.

If you were writing a book about your life, what would the title be?

"Amazing Me."

Obviously, you are an excellent writer.  What other hobbies do you have?

I like to riding my bike and playing video games.

Thanks Connor.  I am excited to read the ending of this intriguing story.
